Our second feature from photographer Ethan Covey is titled ‘Of A Man-Altered Landscape’ – a series of diptychs consisting of photographs taken during a recent visit to Providenciales, the most populated island of the Turks & Caicos archipelago.
Unlike most photographic views of the area, the work doesn’t focus on white sand and blue water; instead, the pieces are built upon contrasts of colour and design, angle and tone. As such, it offers a unique view of Providenciales, a fresh take on the island’s richness of color and light.
The series was shot entirely on 35mm film, using a Pentax K1000 and both Kodak Ektar and Portra 160 film. Enjoy…
