Collin Pollard is an artist and photographer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Taking inspiration from painters such as David Hockney and Piet Mondrian, his work is heavily focused on emphasising and reorganising the colours, compositions, lines, shapes and textures of our everyday surroundings. Some are found landscapes and some are constructed from multiple images. Following in the footsteps of the ‘New Topographics’ photographers, he hopes to explore similar ideas, in different ways: “This work is about finding the beauty in the seemingly mundane. We are living in a constant state of change, and my hopes for this work is that it gives the viewer a chance to take a moment of silence to study the intimate details of our everyday.”
