Chesel Alexander is a photographer based in Montreal, shooting mostly on a Canonet QL17 GIII loaded with B&W film over the winter and colour in the summer. ‘Passing’ is a series of images taken over this past winter in and around Montreal.

“There wasn’t often a pre-meditated purpose in making this collection but, as I look back at it, I take a sort of transient, ephemeral sentiment from them as a collection: moving, decaying, falling, waking up, growing, passing. I suppose it’s a document on various types of change at a time when I was finding my footing in this new city.”
