Munich photographer Yens Franke was introduced to photography at a very young age – his Mother was a professional photographer – but developing films in a darkroom did not have quite the same attraction for him as music did and, for many years, he channeled his creative passion in to a career as a musician. A recent chance discussion with a friend about photography made him pick up a camera again and, from that moment, he was hooked.
Yens has a strong aesthetic running through his work – shooting digital but preferring solely B&W in his final images – his subjects in stark contrast to the simple nature of their surroundings.
